Support

Questions, problems, ideas: email support@warbel.app. A person reads every message and replies within two business days, usually sooner. Include your macOS version and, if it helps, a screenshot or a Warbel recording of what went wrong.

Permissions

Warbel asks macOS for permission the first time a feature needs it, and nothing is captured until you press Record. Screen Recording is the only permission a recording needs. Camera and Microphone are asked for only when the camera bubble or narration is turned on. If you said no and change your mind, open System Settings › Privacy & Security, switch Warbel on under the relevant section, then relaunch the app. Screen Recording in particular only takes effect after a relaunch.

Where are my recordings?

Every recording is a file on your Mac, in the folder you picked when you set Warbel up. If you skipped that step, recordings stay in Warbel’s own library until you choose a folder in Settings › General › Files, where Show opens the current folder in Finder; every recording also has Reveal in Finder. Nothing is uploaded unless you press Share. Trim in the built-in player is lossless and writes a new file next to the original.

Share links

Press Share and the link is on your clipboard before the upload finishes. Anyone with the link can watch in a browser, no account needed. Links are unlisted, not access-controlled, so only send them to people you want watching. Revoke a link from the share window or from your account page and the video is deleted from our servers straight away. Free accounts can share 3 links a month, up to 5 minutes each, kept for 7 days. Pro links can be up to 60 minutes long and stay up for as long as you like.

Warbel Pro and billing

Warbel Pro is a subscription. If you bought it in the Mac App Store, Apple handles billing: manage, change or cancel it under your Apple Account’s subscriptions, and request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you bought it on the web, Manage billing on your account page opens the billing portal. A subscription bought in the App Store also unlocks Pro when you sign in to the same Warbel account on the web, and the app’s Restore Purchases button reattaches it if it ever shows as Free.

Sign-in and pairing

Warbel signs in by email link; there is no password. Links work once and last 15 minutes. If the email does not arrive, check spam and request another. Pairing the Mac app opens a page in your browser with a code already filled in; signing in there signs the app in too.

Deleting your account

In the app, Settings › Account › Delete Account. On the web, the bottom of your account page. Deleting removes the account, every shared recording and its video from our servers; files on your Mac are untouched. An App Store subscription is not cancelled by this, so cancel it with Apple first.

Privacy and terms

What Warbel stores and why is in the privacy policy; the rules of the service are in the terms.
