Warbel is a screen recorder first. Recordings are made and stored on your Mac and never leave it unless you press Share.

Without an account

Recording, trimming and exporting need no account and send nothing to us. The app makes no network requests until you sign in to share.

When you share

Signing in stores your email address, the name of the Mac you paired, and for each shared recording its title, duration, when it was shared, its view count and reactions. The video itself is uploaded to and streamed by Mux, our video host. Free links are deleted 7 days after they are shared; Pro links stay until you revoke them, which deletes the video from Mux.

Viewers

People who open a share link are not asked to sign in. A random cookie lets a viewer toggle their own reactions; it is not tied to an identity and is not shared with the sender beyond the total count.

Payments

Warbel Pro bought in the Mac App Store is billed by Apple; we receive the subscription status, never your payment details. Purchases on the web are processed by Stripe on the same basis.

Deleting your data

Revoke any link from the app to delete its video. Sign out to remove the device token from your Mac. To delete your account and everything in it, email the address on your receipt.
